Once upon a time there were two boys…
They knew each other from church, they both had the same dream, to design and print their own, cool clothes. The fascination for it was so big that each one of them decided he wanted to start his own little label. But both knew that you can’t just start your own label by yourself. One day they got together, talked about their visions and decided that it’s always better to have a partner and they started their own little company. First they printed some shirts and sold them to their friends for cheap. But the longer that went on, the more they found out that people all over wanted those clothes. So they decided in 2004 that they wanted to start a real company, two years after that blessed clothing company was born.

The market started to get bigger and bigger and they knew they had to deliver good t-shirts in even better quality. They also had their first screen printing machine, so they could print their first small orders by themselves. But soon they realized that, even though they had the same dream in the beginning, now it wasn’t the same anymore. One of the two boys only wanted to make small orders, the other one wanted to go big. But for that, he knew he had to switch the fabrication to somewhere else, where it was cheaper to produce clothes. Simon Georg became the CEO of the company. Then in 2006, the first official collection was produced under fair-trade in India. The quality of the clothes improved tremendously and from that point on, through high quality control he was able to guarantee an error-free production. Then in 2008 Simon decided to start working fulltime with blessed. He finished his career as a professional Beach Volleyball, even though he won a title in the Swiss junior championship, and had a big future there. And it was then, that blessed fully started and they planned the first big summer collection in 2009, together with Max Havelaar and then in May 2009 the blessed GmbH (Company with limited liability).

Today, the clothes are made in modern production places in the East, the cotton products are from India and Pakistan, all the leather goods are from Pakistan as well. The sporting goods and fiber clothes come from China and the large deals of cotton goods (at least 500 pieces per style) are made in Mauritius, in a FLO certificated company, under the control of workers from the fair-trade seal of approval Max Havelaar.

The blessed Brand Store in Biel is the newest addition to the family of blessed. The store is located in the heart of Biel, and it’s not just the store, it includes the workplaces (office) of our staff and volunteers, also the warehouse and a bar with a lounge. Blessed is not only successful because of all the events we went to, no, it’s also because of the internet(Facebook & Co.) and all our fans all over the world. 10% from each franc that blessed earns go to different charities, 5% go to Metro Ministries, which are located in New York(Bonx) and all over the world. Metro Ministries works with Kids all over the world.

As CEO from blessed, I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who encourage and help me, and also all the volunteers that help in their free time and work with blessed.
