Who is Metro Ministries:
Metro Ministries is a christian non-profit organisation that is working since 1980 in the slums and the urban areas of different big cities in the world, where violence and hopelessness are omnipresent. Bill Wilson, the founder and director of Metro Ministries, experienced the poverty, hurt and isolation himself. Because he went through all these things himself, God gave him a heart for all the young people everywhere that experience the same things. From the ghettos in the United States of America to the dumps of Manila, the townships in South Africa to the remote villages in Romania, Metro Ministries is there, dedicated to help all the little kids that are suffering from mental abuse, their families .To show and bring them the love of Christ. The children experience that someone cares about them, that their lives have value. At the same time they get taught how to take responsibility and ownership of their lives, to make good decisions, to fight against the hard everyday life.
Today Metro Ministries is working every week with thousands of kids world wide. Through the Spring- and Fall-Quarters Metro Ministries is able to reach more than 20'000 children weekly! The programs, themes and methods that Metro Ministries pioneered are now used in cities all over the world.
